1-Click Apps
A step-by-step guide to installing web applications on your Scynr free hosting account using the Softaculous 1-Click Script Installer.
The Softaculous Apps Installer inside VistaPanel allows you to install over 300+ popular web scripts (including WordPress, Joomla, AbanteCart, and phpBB) in just a few clicks. You do not need to create MySQL databases or upload script files manually.
💡 Note: Make sure your domain or subdomain is added to your account and pointing correctly before installing any script.
Log in to your VistaPanel at http://cpanel.host.scynr.xyz using your panel credentials.
Scroll down to the Software section.
Click on the Softaculous Apps Installer icon.
Inside Softaculous, locate WordPress on the homepage or use the search bar on the left sidebar.
Hover over WordPress and click the blue Install button.
Fill out the installation form:
Choose Protocol: Select https:// (if SSL is active) or http://.
Choose Domain: Select your registered domain or free subdomain (e.g., yourname.host.scynr.xyz).
In Directory: Leave this field completely empty if you want WordPress installed on your main site URL. *(If you type "blog", it will install at yourdomain.com/blog)*.
Site Name & Description: Enter your website title and slogan.
Admin Account: Enter an Admin Username, a strong Admin Password, and a valid Admin Email.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Install button.
Wait 1–2 minutes while Softaculous extracts the files and configures the database automatically.
🎉 Success! You will see a success message with your website link and your administrator dashboard login URL (e.g., yourdomain.host.scynr.xyz/wp-admin).
You can manage, backup, or remove scripts installed via Softaculous at any time:
Click the All Installations icon (box icon) in the top-right toolbar of Softaculous to see a list of all installed scripts on your account.
Beside any installation under "All Installations", click the red Trash Can icon to completely delete the script files and associated database.
This error happens if there are leftover files (like a default index.html) in your htdocs folder. Open your VistaPanel **File Manager**, navigate into the `htdocs` folder for that domain, delete all existing default files, and run the Softaculous installer again.
Yes! You can install WordPress on different subdomains or inside subfolders (e.g., by typing a folder name like `shop` or `forum` in the **In Directory** field during setup).
If Softaculous fails to complete the installation, our technical support team is here to assist.
